Description
Primatia’s unique Raised and Extended slide release offers a unique advantage to trained shooters with a proper high position grip.
This purpose-built slide release is for shooters running a high thumbs-forward grip, where standard slide stops are often inadvertently engaged or overridden. By raising and extending the contact surface, this upgrade enhances slide-lock reliability while allowing for intuitive manipulation without shifting your grip.
Designed with serious users in mind, it’s a must-have for anyone seeking enhanced control under stress, whether on duty or at the range.
Key Features:
- Raised and Extended Profile: Prevents accidental overrides while providing a larger, more accessible contact point.
- Maintains Grip Integrity: Allows slide operation without altering your shooting stance or hand position.
- Durable Build: Precision machined to deliver consistent performance and withstand hard use.
- Broad Compatibility: Fits a wide range of Gen 5 Glock models
Note:
Cosmetic Scuffing Possible – The raised profile may result in light wear on the slide, purely visual and does not affect function.
Compatible with:
Glock Gen 5 Models: G17 / G17 MOS / G17L MOS / G19 / G19 MOS / G19X / G26 / G26 MOS / G34 MOS / G45 / G45 MOS / G47 MOS / G49

JG Booysen (verified owner) –
Just purchased my second one. If your technique of gripping the pistol does not prevent ‘slide-lock’ due to pressure on the standard OEM slide-lock/release lever, this will do nothing for you.
Also note that depending on your hand size, most people have to break their grip entirely in order to actuate this Primätia raised and extended slide-release.
It will also limit you on some holster options. I use the ‘Safariland Incog X’ (collaboration with Haley Strategic Partners) holster and it fits perfectly as they designed the holster for more modern accessories. The raised slide release/stop will scratch the slide coating if you’re worried about aesthetics, but that should be the last of your concerns.
My first one (When the company was still named Kägwerks) has lasted around +- 4000 rounds in 4 years, with no signs of failure yet. Bought it out of necessity, and not because it “looks cool”.
Performs as advertised.
